On July 13, 2024, Angola Aode Industrial Park held a grand sponsorship ceremony for the Angola G.D.X. Basketball Team. This initiative aims to support the development of sports in Angola, promote the popularity and standards of basketball in the country, embodying the company’s corporate culture of “rooting and serving locally”. It also seeks to promote China-Angola cooperation and deepen the friendship between the two nations.

At 10 a.m., the bus carrying the basketball team arrived at the industrial park. Over 30 members of the team, including the junior and youth groups along with their supervisors, disembarked from the bus. The chairman of the park, Yang Jijiang, dressed in the team’s uniform, shook hands with the team’s representative, Mr. Garson, also in team attire, and they exchanged pleasantries and took commemorative photos together.

The sponsorship ceremony commenced in the conference room of the industrial park’s office building, with representatives from the G.D.X. Basketball Team in attendance. At the beginning of the meeting, the G.D.X. Basketball Team showcased the matches they had participated in Angola from 2023 to the present, jointly reviewing the team’s brilliant achievements since 2023. Through captivating photos from various competitions and displayed trophies, the team illustrated their hard work and outstanding performance over the past year.

Chairman Yang Jijiang delivered a speech at the ceremony, reiterating the company’s support for sports and expressing expectations for the future development of the G.D.X. Basketball Team. He stated, “We believe that with our support, the G.D.X. Basketball Team will achieve even greater accomplishments in future competitions, contributing more to the development of basketball in Angola. In the future, we will also organize outstanding athletes from the team to visit China and participate in friendship matches with basketball teams sponsored by our company in China, promoting the development of sports relations between China and Angola.”

Mr. Garson, the team’s representative, expressed his gratitude, noting that with the support of Aode Industrial Park, the team had made rapid progress, participating in numerous officially recognized matches in Angola and achieving excellent results. He highlighted that the exceptional performance of some team members was a direct result of the emphasis placed on the team’s development by Aode Industrial Park.

Under the witness of Chairman Yang Jijiang, the representative of Aode Industrial Park, Yang Jiashuo, and the team’s representative, Mr. Garson, signed the 2024 sponsorship agreement between Aode Industrial Park and the G.D.X. Basketball Team.

After the meeting, all members moved to the company’s basketball court for an enthusiastic friendly match. During the game, the G.D.X. Basketball Team demonstrated their superb skills and excellent teamwork, earning warm applause from the audience.
