The inauguration ceremony marking the commencement of operations for Jushi Chemical (Angola) Co., Ltd., an enterprise located in Angola Aode Industrial Park, was successfully completed. Dignitaries including Maria Antónia Nelumba, Governor of Bengo Province, Evaristo Baptista, National Director of Industry from the Angolan Ministry of Industry and Trade, and other officials from various levels of the Bengo provincial government visited the park to attend the inauguration ceremony. They participated in the unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the project.
In her address, Governor Maria Antónia Nelumba underscored the critical role that Angola Aode Industrial Park plays in the economic and social advancement of Bengo Province. She highlighted, “The Jushi Chemical project exemplifies the vast potential for diversifying industrial development within Bengo Province. Furthermore, it provides numerous employment opportunities for our young people. As one of the leading enterprises in Bengo Province, we hope that Aode Industrial Park will serve as a magnet to draw more Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in our region.”
ushi Chemical (Angola) Co., Ltd., with a planned investment of 15 million US dollars, focuses on the production of sanitary non-woven fabrics, sanitary films, eco-friendly bag non-wovens, furniture non-wovens, and outer packaging films. In its first phase, the company has already invested 12.5 million US dollars, achieving an annual production capacity of 12,000 tons of non-woven fabrics and 6,000 tons of films. This capacity is sufficient to meet the demand for non-woven fabrics, breathable films, and outer packaging films in the southwestern African market.
The successful start of operations signifies the official launch of Jushi Chemical’s first chemical manufacturing project in Angola. This milestone not only injects new vitality into the local hygiene materials industry but also represents a significant step forward in enhancing the availability and quality of these essential products in the region.
