On May 16, 2023, a delegation from Changde City, Hunan Province, along with the Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Angola, visited the Aode Industrial Park located in Bengo Province, Angola, further promoting the development of economic and trade cooperation between both sides.

The Vice Mayor of Changde City, Tan Ding, Deputy Director of the Changde Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Yang Youming, and the President of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce, Zheng Changhua, among others, first expressed their admiration for the successful development of Aode Industrial Park in Angola.

Vice Mayor Tan Ding introduced the economic strength and development advantages of Changde City, particularly emphasizing its achievements in industrial manufacturing, agricultural modernization, tourism, and cultural and creative industries. He stated that Changde City is actively advancing supply-side structural reform, committing to enhancing industrial transformation, upgrading, and innovation capabilities. He expressed his hope for broader cooperation with Aode Industrial Park to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

General Manager of Aode Industrial Park, Liu Wende, expressed admiration for the development achievements of Changde City and indicated a willingness to further strengthen cooperation with Changde City. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding industrial park construction, investment cooperation, talent exchange, and other areas, reaching preliminary cooperation intentions. This visit provided a platform for cooperation between both sides, offering broader opportunities for enterprises from Changde City to expand internationally.

Both parties also exchanged information regarding the upcoming 3rd China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, which was scheduled to be held on June 29, 2023, in Changsha, Hunan. Deputy Director of the Changde Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Yang Youming, mentioned that the expo would provide Hunan enterprises with a broader platform for development, building a bridge for “jointly planning development and sharing the future” between Hunan and African enterprises.

After the meeting, Liu Wende, the General Manager of Aode Industrial Park, led the delegation on a tour of the company’s ceramic factory. He introduced them to the new products currently being produced, the production lines, various specifications of ceramic tiles, as well as the factory’s operations and investment attraction plans. Tan Ding expressed his hope that more enterprises like Aode Industrial Park would emerge in Hunan under the current economic environment.
