Ambassador Zhang Bin and Delegation Visit Aode Industrial Park for Inspection and Research

On March 29, 2024, local time in Angola, Ambassador Zhang Bin and Counselor Lu Yuzhong of the Chinese Embassy in Angola visited China’s Aode Industrial Park for inspection and guidance. Accompanying them were Liu Wende, General Manager of Aode Industrial Park; Guo Xueqiang, Foreign Affairs General Manager of the park; the overall commander of Hebei Huatong’s Angolan electrolytic aluminum project in Angola, and other relevant project leaders.

At 10:20 AM, Ambassador Zhang and his delegation arrived at the Aode Park in Dande City, Bengo Province, where they were warmly welcomed by all the employees of the park. Under the accompaniment of General Manager Liu Wende, the ambassador and his team visited several projects within the park, including Jianan Ceramics Factory, Carton Factory, Paper Mill, Dongfeng Logistics, Dafa Plastic Industry, Overseas Warehouse, and the park’s office building. Liu Wende introduced to the ambassador the current operation management, production processes, product specifications, and market sales of each project. He also provided a detailed report to the embassy leadership on the company’s future development and investment directions. Subsequently, the overall commander of the Huatong electrolytic aluminum project in Angola gave a detailed introduction to the development plans and construction progress of that project.

After the tour, Ambassador Zhang and his delegation engaged in a relaxed and pleasant discussion with the park’s management team in the meeting room of Aode Industrial Park. General Manager Liu Wende, on behalf of Chairman Yang Jijiang and the employees of Aode Industrial Park, once again welcomed and thanked the ambassador and his team for their visit. He then provided a detailed report on the park’s business philosophy of “taking root in Africa, integrating into the local community, and serving the locality,” cooperation with the local government and the Dande Free Trade Zone, localization management measures within the park, fulfillment of social responsibilities, and efforts to act as a bridge for friendly communication between China and Angola. Liu expressed heartfelt gratitude for the continuous concern, support, and assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Angola. He also conveyed the company’s determination to the embassy leadership to firmly establish itself locally, operate in compliance with laws and regulations, and contribute Aode’s strength to advancing the Belt and Road Initiative.

In his speech, Ambassador Zhang Bin gave full recognition to the development of China’s Aode Industrial Park, expressing his long-held wish to see more Chinese enterprises grow stronger in Africa. He also hoped that more substantive investment enterprises like Aode Industrial Park would take root in Angola in the future. Addressing the current operational phase of the park, the ambassador provided numerous valuable suggestions on establishing standard norms for industrial parks, improving infrastructure, building international brands, expanding business within the unified market of African free trade zones, and planning for industrial development within the park. Additionally, he highly commended large investment projects such as Huatong’s electrolytic aluminum project, offering proactive advice on its progress and future construction.

Counselor Lu Yuzhong also praised the rapid development and transformation of the park, emphasizing that during the enterprise’s development process, it should “establish a positive Chinese image, tell good Chinese stories, and spread the voice of China.”

As a company specializing in industrial park planning and development, physical investment, infrastructure construction, operation management, and consulting services, China’s Aode Industrial Park fully utilizes the development opportunities in Angola and its neighboring countries under the leadership of the Chinese Embassy in Angola. Looking to the future, Aode Industrial Park plans to continue leveraging the platform of the Dande Free Trade Zone and its preferential policy resources. The company aims to increase investment attraction, deepen international cooperation, enhance service levels, and gradually build overseas industry clusters. The ultimate goal is to establish Aode Industrial Park as a model of economic and trade cooperation parks in Africa.

This strategic direction not only supports the growth and diversification of the local economy but also contributes to strengthening Sino-African relations and promoting mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
